Governing Better Through Evidence-Informed Policy Making

On 26-27 June 2017, OECD organised an event in Paris “Governing Better Through Evidence-Informed Policy Making”.

PERFORM representatives, together with their partners from public institutions and the research community from Albania and Serbia, attended the event, which contributed to the expansion of their knowledge on feeding evidence into political decision-making; using evidence in practice: engaging with decision-makers; and international cooperation on evidence informed policy making.

Panellists and participants also discussed on key elements for evidence-informed policy making, skills for policy makers and scientists, and using behavioural insights to inform policy and practice.

The event was hosted by OECD’s Directorate for Public Governance in cooperation with the EC’s Joint Research Center, the Campbell Collaboration, and the International Network for Government Science Advice (INGSA).
