For its National Coordination Unit in Albania, PERFORM is seeking a Programme Officer (full-time position)
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Maintain effective working relations and continuous dialogue with system actors
- In dialogue with system actors/partners and using a systemic approach, support the development of new interventions
- Prepare detailed intervention plans/guides for specific intervention areas
- Take a facilitating role in implementation of interventions, following principles of ownership by local actors
- Monitor and strengthen effectiveness of interventions
- Participate in monitoring of external environment and contribute to updating the country strategy
- In close collaboration with colleagues within the team and with the RMU, take a key role in coordinating the teams' communication outputs (briefs, reports, articles), including those dedicated to the project's website and social media page
- Acquire knowledge and experience through training and knowledge sharing events, continuous research and networking
Requirements:
- Master Degree in social sciences, such as in Political Science, Public Management, Sociology, Organisational and Institutional Development or related fields
- At least 2 years of work experience (preferably working in private and/or governmental sector, CSO-civil society organisations, academic field, international organisation)
- Good understanding of systems analysis
- Experience in project planning and reporting
- Experience in working in diverse teams
Competencies and skills:
- Computer skills (MS Office)
- Language: Native Albanian, fluency in English both written and spoken required, other Balkan languages would be a strong plus
- Ability to understand organisational systems and processes
- Results-oriented, highly motivated person
- Ability to work independently
- Good interpersonal skills (with sensitivity to cultural communication differences)
- Previous experience in communication would be an asset
Conditions:
- Two-year contract with a three months’ probation; possibility of extension
