PERFORM supported Working Group of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development (MoESTD) with a three-day meeting organised in Vrsac, September 7-9, 2015. Members of the Working Group had the opportunity to finalise the Draft Rulebook on Allocation of State Funds and Thematic Areas for Top-down Research Projects.
Working Group proposed that projects in the field of social science and humanities should include independent international evaluation.
Thematic areas will include 17 topics related to policy making and needs of the ministries in the process of EU integration and reform processes of Serbian society. Some of the topics reflect contribution of social science research to agenda setting, such as topics of migrants and human and minority rights.
By finalising the Draft Rulebook the Working Group fulfilled the mandate given by the MoESTD. It is expected that MoESTD will issue the new Call for Research Project Proposals in the first quarter of 2016.
